Electronic health record vendors, providers and others have made progress in recent years in exchanging patient data. But, obstacles remain. What will it take to obtain true interoperability? Whose job is it to develop standards? And what’s the role of government?

A panel of experts will address these questions and more during a Wisconsin Health News briefing, Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the Madison Club.

Panelists include:

  • Eric Helsher, Vice President, Epic
  • Joe Kachelski, CEO, Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network
  • Melissa Owens, Vice President of Implementation Services and Support, Marshfield Clinic Information Services

Wisconsin Health News Editor Tim Stumm will moderate.

As an independent chartered chapter of ACHE, the Wisconsin Chapter is authorized to award 1.0 ACHE Qualified Education continuing education credit for this program toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
