What’s next for AI in healthcare?

Healthcare organizations are using artificial intelligence to cut administrative costs and address labor concerns, and see the potential for improved diagnoses and more effective treatment decisions.

But as the capabilities of artificial intelligence rapidly increase, its full implications are not yet known, and regulators have not been able to keep up. There’s also concern that it could exacerbate disparities.

Wisconsin Health News is assembling an expert panel on Sept. 12 to examine the current state of artificial intelligence in healthcare and discuss what’s on the horizon.
