The Future of Medicaid The future of Medicaid is in flux. The state is unwinding a pandemic-fueled continuous enrollment policy that added hundreds of thousands to the rolls over the past three years. Meanwhile, lawmakers are debating a slew of changes to the program ranging from additional coverage for new mothers to work requirements for childless adults.
