WHN Panel Series Event - What’s next for mental health? Examining the impact of COVID-19. As COVID-19 lessens its grip, it’s leaving in its wake mounting mental health issues. Demand has soared over the past two years. Drug overdoses are at all-time highs. And recent research is pointing to increased risk of anxiety and depression after COVID-19 infections. Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s largest county is in the midst of a major overhaul in how it delivers behavioral healthcare. And advances in technology could change how patients interact with their provider. A panel of experts will examine these issues and more at an in-person Wisconsin Health News event in Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 13. Panelists: - Jennifer Bergersen, CEO, Granite Hills Hospital
- Amy Herbst, Vice President of Mental and Behavioral Health, Children’s Wisconsin
- Brenda Wesley, Member, Milwaukee County Mental Health Board
- Mike Lappen, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division Administrator
- Rep. Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa)
