Wisconsin Doctor Day 2025 Brings Over 300 Physicians to the Capitol

Wisconsin Doctor Day 2025 was a resounding success, drawing more than 300 physicians from across the state to Madison for a day dedicated to advocacy, education, and engagement.

As the premier advocacy event for Wisconsin physicians, the day featured a robust schedule including educational sessions, updates on key health policy issues, and in-person visits with legislators at the State Capitol. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with peers, learn about the latest developments in healthcare policy, and speak directly with lawmakers about the issues impacting their patients and practices.

Our team was honored to support this impactful event, helping elevate the voice of medicine in Wisconsin.

Ashley Monson was featured in the July issue of the National Commission of Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) Newsletter (link). Ashley’s profile was featured July 11 in the national newsletter and describes how she applies her training as a health educator to her work a Badger Bay.

Ashley started working for Badger Bay in 2015 as a Project Manager and currently serves as Association Director for a number of Badger Bay clients, in addition to organizing the Wisconsin Local Health Officer Orientation and Wisconsin Healthcorps Program.

Inaugural WHN Conference a Success

Badger Bay and Wisconsin Health News hosted the first ever “Future of Healthcare Conference” on July 28. Over 300 attendees from throughout the state attended the event in Madison at the Monona Terrace.

National speakers supplemented a series of panels focusing on the future of healthcare in Wisconsin. This year’s keynote speakers included:

Ceci Connolly, Alliance of Community Health Plans CEO, shared her perspective on Congressional actions affecting healthcare in Wisconsin. She predicts that although Congress will continue its debate on healthcare, it is unlikely to make major changes;
Dr James Hamblin, Senior Editor at The Atlantic, described the impact of social media on consumers’ view of their health; and
Charles Franklin, Director of the Marquette Law School Poll, presented information on the relationship between voter opinion on federal healthcare reform and the election.

Badger Bay Welcomes WACEP

Badger Bay welcomes the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (WACEP) as our newest client! The Chapter was founded in 1983 and represents over 500 board certified Emergency Physicians from across the state.

Badger Bay and WCHQ Partner on Quality Conference

Badger Bay provided event planning services in support of the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality annual conference. This was the first year Badger Bay has worked with the Collaborative. Attendance at the event grew to nearly 300 attendees - a record attendance.

The event was held June 14 at the Monona Terrace in Madison. Badger Bay will continue to work throughout the year with the Collaborative to help plan the bi-monthly WCHQ Assembly meetings. AINA (Association of Indian Neurologists in America) was referred to us by a member of the Wisconsin Neurological Society, and officially starts as our newest client this month. Badger Bay will provide the first professional staffing for their association since their creation 7 years ago.
